Museo all'aperto Bilotti (Mab) Cosenza While shopping or snacking enjoy works by major artists! Giorgio de Chirico, Salvador Dali, Amadeo Modigliani anyone? Just a few of the public sculptures gracing the pedestrian shopping scene you might bump into in Cosenza. Cosenza really got it right with Mab: the concept is about you strolling down the main street and contempling the artwork of renowned artists. There is also a massive Modigliani statue!

Open museum. Open space. Open people. Walking along the main course of Cosenza is a good and fresh experience: the Art walks with you.

Walk through the Corso Mazzini in Cosenza is a pleasure for art lovers to shopaholics! The course is full of shops, bookstores and bars with outdoor seating and simultaneously strewn along its path of works of art by various artists, to enjoy a relaxing afternoon with a culture known that never hurts!

Finally another reason to stop in Cosenza. The city of Alarico known for the magnificent Duomo and the old city, now can add to its attractions the street museum called MAB. It deserves a visit only just to see the collection given to the city by Carlo Bilotti a mecenate related to Heinz family. You will be not deluded.

The museu all'aperto makes you to go around and around visiting the old city and the paints on walls along the city. Problem is when it rains, but it a valid idea for tourists know the city.

The sculptures comprising this open air museum are spread along this street and include works by Giorgio Chirico and Salvador Dali. The tourist office, by the San Domenici convent, has detailed information about each sculpture and a map. There are plenty places to... More
