This cathedral is a beautiful architecture. Very ornate inside. Lots of stained glass and art work. Splendid discovery of two small chapels on a level below the floor.

It is a very beautiful Cathedral and it is worth visiting once you are in Matera. A must go place for history lovers especially.

In the center of town off of a quiet square is the Duomo. It was nicely appointed with chapels that had lovely inlaid stone decorations.
