One of my favourite part of Pescara, its historic centre has come back to life in the last years after decades of semi-abandon. Now it's the place where you can enjoy the perfect evening. During winter, corso Manthoné and the near streets are full of young people going out for a drink, but it's during spring and summer that Pescara... More

I read reviews saying what a nice part of Pescara this was and, wanting to get away from the noise and bustle of the main town, we headed there on a Sunday morning. To be honest, I just couldn't see the attraction. It's dirty and run-down and I don't think I'd have fancied eating anywhere even if they'd been open.... More

The old village is so vibrant and colourful. The buildings are beautiful and I'm the summer it all shines brightly. It's a lovely place and really contrasts the more modern Pescara.

Pescara, generally, is not a beautiful city, but it's certainly got a lot that's interesting beyond the obvious attractions of the beach. Top of the list is the Old Town, with its traditional streets and buildings - and great museums. They're never very busy, but they're worth searching out, together with the several good restaurants nearby.

We walked from the city centre to the old town on a very hot morning and spent most of our time trying to find shade. So maybe it was this, but we didn't find the old town too exciting. A little run down and dirty , the church was very nice though and people are very friendly .
