Beautiful building right next to Cathedral without the 7 euro charge imposed by the aforementioned Cathedral. Wonderful statues and paintings within.

This is a most beautiful basilica which is quite near the main Cathedral. Although it is much smaller than the Cathedral it is very beautiful and mass is said at all hours, We visited the second time and heard mass at around 7.30pm

Don't miss this awesome Basilica it's beautiful and right next door to the Cathedral. There a very nice little chapel at the back if you want peaceful reflection time. The Masses are continous all day.

It provides a great outlook in the central Plaza of Valencia, though the nearby Cathedral shines much more. However, the more central position of this Basilica (dedicated to the Virgin of the Helpless) does not let it disappear in the shadow of its more apparent...More

Entering the Baroque 17th century Real Basílica De Nuestra Señora De Los Desamparados, it is the most worth to look up. The frescoes of the vault are impressive paintings of Palomino.

Sits beside the Cathedral and worth a look. Much smaller inside than I was expecting but beautifully decorated. There was a service when I was there and a choir singing which was a lovely experience to sit and listen to.

This basilica is quite special. It has a peaceful aura inside and adorned with sculptures and artwork that is commonplace in most of Spanish historic places of worship. However, looking up into the domed ceiling at the 3-D like fresco by Antonio Palomino.
