The palatial Ayuntamiento (Town Hall) of Valencia dominates the square, and its bells chime out the hours. Surrounding the plaza are other buildings from the city's golden age, such as the Correos (the main post office). In the center of the plaza, a fountain is surrounded by flower stalls with all the colors, sizes, varieties imagineable. This is a good starting point from which to visit Valencia's old quarter or today's most fashionable shops.

This plaza is busy, especially for the traffic. Lovely central fountain and located in the old city.

we stopped at a small café next to the fountain and just chilled with a reasonably priced drink with a great view of the square watching the world go by.

The plaza of the city hall is no longer thick with flower sellers, although the beauty of the place remains in the boulevard lined with more stark white hotels and office buildings than anywhere in Europe. It is a beautiful walk from the Cathedral to...More

Although the fountain and the Plaza itself are lovely, the road surrounding them is incredibly busy and congested, making it difficult to take photos or really admire the area. Anyway good place to take seat on some terrace and just watch the Valencia´s heart beating.

It's a large square right in the centre of Valencia. Full of activity and many shops. Lots of lovely architecture can be admired in the square.

It was nice to see the town hall and the park but the cars did spoil it. Also the fountain wasn't going when I was there. Worth walking by on the way somewhere but I wouldn't make a special trip.

It is a very nice square, where the Town Hall is, and very nice buildings. It is the ideal starting point for a tour of the city.
