well worth a visit
Aug 2021
Huge cathedral, cloisters, and museum. Very interesting and well worth a visit. Allow 1 1/2 - 2 hours to properly see it all. Exhibits in the museum were well laid out and explained, albeit mostly in Baque and Spanish. The Cathedral and Cloisters are magnificent.

extraordinary church
Aug 2021
combines both the old with the modern, this church has a museum that is worth visiting, it is very impressive to be standing in such old churches with such history and art masterpieces

(More than) dissapointing

Paying for visiting an institution which receives (wide) financial support from the Spanish government is definitely despicable. You are not even allowed to take a brief look to the entrance.

The cathedral and accompanying museum is an absolute “must see”... a great place to understand the history of this region in Spain

Impressive and much larger than it appears outside

We visited on our first afternoon in Pamplona and were advised to go to the cloisters first as they would be locked up earlier than the Cathedral. The layout was very good and there were rooms showing excavations from earlier churches as well as atmospheric plainsong playing in certain parts of the buildings.

A Walk Up the Bell Tower and Down for an Amazing Museum
Jan 2020
The Cathedral itself is worth the visit, but most people bypass the museum, which won awards for its design and curation. Truly worth a visit. Once a day (115am, in the winter), visitors are brought up the bell towers and it is worth the short climb for the spectacular view. It is also an interesting way to begin your tour of the museum, which includes the cloisters and the cathedral.

Perfect place for your daily meditation
Dec 2019
I normally walk for half an hour surrounding the walls of Pamplona, full of history and good vibrations, then I finish up at the Cathedral where I go for meditation in front of Carlos III mausoleum. The place is magical.

Pamplona weekend
Aug 2019
Pamplona is very typical of many Spanish towns. Some lovely architecture, many shops, bars and restaurants and is a very lively place at the weekend.

Superb

We were lucky enough to get a tour to the bell tower and see Maria’ which is the largest bell in Spain. The guide was excellent. The cloisters are absolutely beautiful though undergoing conservation. The museum is excellent

Really just one of many
Oct 2019
For the real conniseurs I am sure that this is a special place but to me it was not as splendid as many others that I have seen in Spain and elsewhere.
It is rather large, with a number of different sections and needs at least an hour, if not more, to fully explore.
