If you happen to be in the area, this is worth a pit stop to grab a bite. Although everyone seemed to be squeezing in to eat at casa dani, i recommend the Mexican taco place at the back of the market. It’s small but...More
When you are on your way to Casa Dani, be sure to save time to shop this market. It is a very high end mercado with meats, cheeses, desserts, you name it. Definitely a great place to load up on some ham, cheese and pasteries.
This is not a tourist trap. Located in the exclusive Salamanca district. Very clean, exclusive local products, fresh and beautiful, nice athmosphere. All kind of fish, fruits, vegetables, ready meals...Little bit hidden corner but easy to find. I visit this every year.
Excellent fresh food market tucked away in the back streets of the barrio de la Salamanca.

Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighbourhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of
opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
