The Royal Botanical Garden of Madrid is a jewel not too well known by visitors. For those who like gardening and botany, their fame is common knowledge. But for tourists who come for a short visit it is not easy for them to know. It...More

We visited the gardens in mid-February, clearly not the ideal time. Even so, for a very reasonable entry fee (3 euros regular, 50 euro cents if over 65), the gardens offer a relaxing and interesting point to visit. The property is quite large, and features...More

An outdoor attraction within walking distance of the art museums district. Beautiful outdoor gardens with some greenhouses too. Marvel at the fish ponds and the gigantic overgrown fruits and vegetables on display. Admission is dirt cheap.

During our stay in Madrid we have visited The royal botanic garden. We could see plants from around the country. The garden is well preserved and tidy. The entry ticket is 15e which is abit pricey I would say.

Royal Botanic Garden (Real Jardin Botanico) is a typically well manicured ornamental garden space which needs striking plants and flowers to impress which appeared lacking when looking in. Would like to see it it the summer.

I always like to visit botanic gardens wherever I go. This one was average. I visited much nicer ones even for free. So it is not worth it that much to pay 4 Euros per person in November.

We visited here on a November day, so the park was not in full bloom but it still had a number of interesting garden areas to wander around and in the summer it is probably full of colour. The small hot house is like a...More

Nice compact, only entrance near Prado, 4 Euros or 50 cents for seniors. Not the largest selection but worth a visit

Paseo del Prado
The area around the elegant Paseo del Prado boulevard
is much-visited by both locals and tourists. The
world-famous Prado, the Reina Sofia, and the
Thyssen-Bornemisza museums form a triangle of art and
culture that spans this grand and beautiful avenue. On
weekdays, the Prado Museum opens its doors for free
after-work hours, drawing a diverse and excited queue
of art lovers that wraps around the block. Palacio de
