A persistent effort to locate this exhibit was rewarded with a varied collection of modern sculpture, including a Miro penguin, which was well worth a short visit. We also found photographs of the sculptures on the web. Old name is "Museo de Escultura al Aire...More

I went back to this museum and took a look again at the modern sculptures there. My favorite sculpture is one done by Joan Miro and it looks like a penguin. Its title is "Mere Ubu" and the bronze statue was made in 1975.

What's not to love about seeing attractions that are free? Plus, it is outside so you can enjoy the fresh air! It is a nice outdoor museum from local artists. We walked here from Plaza de Ciebeles so it was around a 15-20 minute walk.

This open air museum is open all the time and is beside Calle Serrano. I enjoyed seeing the modern art sculptures that are in this museum. There are many famous Spanish sculptors represented here. Very few people know that this museum exists.
