Great restaurant!

The restaurant set in a former theatre and designed by P. Starck. It is certainly worth a visit. Fair service. Food good quality.

This is a restored theater that has become an avant garde restaurant. Food was of the highest quality. The stage turned into the most awesome bar after our dinner concluded. Worth a visit.

The food in Teatriz was AMAZING! We had steak and it was incredible, the meat just melted in your mouth. Also the dessert was so good. The price was also unblievable, It was so cheap, while you could tell the food and chef were from high quality. The building it self was also so beautifull, designed by Philip Starck. Unfortunately... More

Some madrilenos friends suggested me this restaurant knowing I adore japanese and fusion food. A little bit expensive but worthy! Incredible location: old theatre renewed and designed by Philip Starck. Wide range of japanese dishes. Good service. Perfect for special occasions.

The restaurant had a great ambiance (need to dress up a little) and the place is built beautifully taking advantage of the form of the theater it once was, so it actually looks like there´s going to be some cabaret dancing after dinner ;-) and it´s decorated in the same manner. That was the nice part but regarding food, I... More

As we walked in it was clear that there was a relaxed air about the place even though it has such a designer tag to it. The room was sublime with heavy grey velvet drapes and a dramatic stage set where the bar was situated. I was there with 10 friends who had had a pretty heavy night the previous... More

The evening started very promisingly, the restaurant is undeniably beautiful and unusual, the menu interesting and the food good. What let the restaurant down was the appalling rudeness of the staff who cleared away the restaurant before we had finished our meal. I should point out that we had arrived well before the end of the advertised opening hours. We... More

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighbourhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighbourhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
