Beautiful basilica situated just south of Plaza Mayor. Definitely worth a visit and it definitely has the Wow factor when you walk in. The dome is absolutely beautiful and was painted by Goya.

This is a lovely architectural building however both the church and museum are closed from about 1 till 4 so check the opening times before you come. The garden next to the church is a nice place to sit.

This basilica is as HUGE as it is gorgeous. I highly recommend really paying attention to the tour if you can understand Spanish, but it is also nice just to follow along and see the gorgeous architecture and paintings!

You visit this church to appreciate the beautiful frescos inside the church. Since there is a fee to get in, a lot of people skip this church. However what you pay as entry fee is worth it due to the splendour of the frescos inside...More
