Went to the Matadero Market and had an excellent time. There were approximately 30 vendors there selling fresh cheese, fruit, burgers, coffee and dozens of other artisanal products. It was free to enter and the prices of the food items ranged from €2-6 depending on...More

This is a nice arts and cultural centre. I'd recommend researching what's on before visiting. We visited when no event was taking place, but still nice to walk around, see the buildings, and it seems the cafe is always open. It's next to the river...More

This former slaughterhouse was converted into an art house. I went with a few friends to an event called La Plaza en Verano. Definitely something different to experience in Madrid. There's also a restaurant/bar serving Spanish + International food with good food and prices.

Very impressive former slaughterhouse complex. I didn't visit any of the activities, but I spent a couple of very pleasant mornings having coffee on the open terrace of the restaurant, and having a walk in the park by the Manzanares river. Greenhouse Crystal Palace of...More
