When coming form the airport, Chamartin offers easy access to all the important points in Madrid, but also very good connection to long distance trains towards the north of Spain. There is a luggage store, not very well flagged- it is outside, near the taxi stop

The station itself is OK but my wife found the toilets dirty. We went to a cafe, the name of which I can't recall, but it starts with the letter G. We were served by possibly the rudest coffee seller in Madrid. His way of...More

This is just a large train station with many shops. I didn't notice that it was dirty and run down as some other reviewers have said.

You can find everything you need. Easy access to downtown Madrid; better get the train, rather than the metro.

Access to all city points. Metro. Train. All information is clear for visitors. Clean. And it also has shopping and eating places.

If you want to go north of Madrid, you need to use this train station because it is the one that has trains to go north. The building is quite old and needs to be remodelled to help passengers.

The Chamartin Station facilities are excellent , and the whole thing is crisp, modern and new; also connecting well with various underground lines. We could connect well from Tribunal Station near the city centre. The Renfe Office is not as friendly and helpful as the...More

There is inexpensive luggage storage right at Atocha. Line 1 of the metro will take you straight to Chamartín.
