This museum is definitely worth a visit and has lots of interesting things to see, but I would set expectations on what you're going to get, otherwise the experience leaves you feeling just a little bit wanting.
Is it a true house museum? Not entirely....More
We loved this small museum. it' s marvelous place, we spend more than one hour admiring the exhibits. It is funny because there is also a room where you can play games in electronic consoles and you can see a doll house with people of...More
We wandered over here on a late Sunday morning during free entrance. It felt like there were only a handful of other visitors there so it was peaceful. With kids, it was a nice way to spend an hour away from the tourist crowds. Oh,...More
Having read the numerous TA reviews on this museum it was on our list of places to go for this trip.

Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses
here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
