Lovely views, I recommend taking a picnic basket and spending the day if you have a spare day in Madrid

Enjoy a fine day at Madrid’s Parque del Buen Retiro, in the centre of the city. Interesting places to see are the Palacio de Cristal and the lake. You’ll surely enjoy the ambience and at the same time get your day’s exercise.

For a few euros (I think 8??) I got a paddle boat and rode around with my friend. It was definitely hot, in the middle of a July summer, but it got so much more pleasant as the day went on. The lake was filled...More

Went jogging in the morning quite early. Despite being dark outiside it was full of people going for a run. Beautiful lame and building. Long paths to go running for as long as you like. Very pleasant for working out or simply relax!

Although we visited in January which is a tough time of year for gardens to look at their best, this free to visit park looked amazing and had a New York Central Park feel about it. Yes, as the bad reviewers are keen to point...More

A nice and big park, plenty of alleys for jogging or just to stroll around. Pay a visit to the Christal Palace and enjoy a short boat stroll on the lake.

There are far more superior parks everywhere else around the world. This one is meh. The worst thing about this park are all the dodgy people selling fake handbags, shoes, sunglasses etc. It's good to visit just once. There are thousands of tourists and you...More

Our Segway tour took us through Retiro Park & it was a hidden gem! We were not considering going there, as we were short on time - but very glad we did. We went in winter -‘it would be even more amazing in Summer.

Came here on Christmas day. We weren't the only ones!! The place was filled with people running, walking, sitting at cafes, etc. It was a great place to stroll on a sunny day. The Crystal Palace was neat to see inside the park too. It...More
