I loved the vast collection of modern art at the gallery. I was pleasantly surprised how many pieces are in the permanent collection on the second floor. Take a jacket, the gallery is air conditioned and quite chilly.

Was on a list we had a good places to visit. It was very modern art, that went through revolutionary times. The Picasso section was small compared to the size of the place. Unless your are a modern art lover recommend doing something else.

What a GREAT surprise! We love Miro and Dali! This museum was a hospital in the '30s. The building is beautiful but the art is stunning. Make it a stop on your visit to Madrid.

This is my favorite Museum in Madrid. Although not as famous as El Prado, it houses amazing works of art. It is busy, but the lines don't tend to be as long as in El Prado. This is must do for art lovers in Madrid.

This was our first stop in Madrid. It is a fine museum, but modern art of this type is just not my cup of tea. No knock on the museum at all--it is lovely--but I could not make myself go above 3* because I can't...More

Absolute must when in Madrid. Buy online and it is 2€ cheaper per ticket. I also understand it is less crowded in the am, but just hearsay. Definitely get the audio tour, it's only a few euros. I suggest you start on the second floor...More

The art of the 20th century featured these 2 Spanish masters. Perhaps it was the horror of the Spanish civil war that produced such creativity. It was good to have been to the Prado yesterday so that we were able to link back to various...More

Try their website. There must be information on that. Also, if you have children of college age - make sure they bring their ID as they are free or at a very good discount
