Food is good but Madrid is full of places where you can have better meals without paying that much. I recommend to walk around the old neighbourhoods and try local restaurants.

We popped in to buy abit of food for a little picnic at the ratiro Park, lovely too walk around. We had a nice glass of Cava whilst we wondered around. Quite expensive though, but definitely worth a visit.

I'm pretty sure they take cards........cash depends on how much fun you want to have.......some seafood and a glass of wine 20-30euros
