The garden wall is a beautiful addition to Madrid. It is fascinating to see all of these plants in bloom on a wall.

The place is great for those seeking for contemporary art - they held various exhibitions there. I've been to the Art & Cinema one - a great insight into how art in the filmography evolved together throughout the years. And as for the building itself...More

This gallery has changing exhibits. Recommended! Saw a Ramon Casas retrospective and an incredible photo show of Indian children.

We had a couple of hours to kill before our train and we came across this place so decided to go in for a look. The exhibition we really wanted to see was closed but they had a great collection of modern and impressionist paintings...More

It's a museum and cultural center in Paseo del Prado. I got to check out the Philippe Halsman photography exhibition which was so educational and fun. Check out their website for more info.

It's really interesting structure+ vertical garden combined. There were some exhibitions inside but I haven't visited, just wanted to see the building

Great architectural joke plus the vertical garden on one side. The internal design is equally striking, with Guggenheim-like stairs. The cafe-restaurant is excellent, providing really fast sensible meals, with just a touch of Spain-meets-international cuisine. In a very popular neighbourhood.

The Caixa Forum is first and foremost a great architectural triumph. It's worth the visit regardless of the exhibitions inside (we have seen a great one - Ramon Casas). There's a nice cafe on the 4th floor and a nice museum shop.

In my modest opinion, this is the Number 1 attraction in the whole Madrid - the vertical garden. The choice of plants makes the wall extremely impressive.

Paseo del Prado
The area around the elegant Paseo del Prado boulevard
is much-visited by both locals and tourists. The
world-famous Prado, the Reina Sofia, and the
Thyssen-Bornemisza museums form a triangle of art and
culture that spans this grand and beautiful avenue. On
weekdays, the Prado Museum opens its doors for free
after-work hours, drawing a diverse and excited queue
of art lovers that wraps around the block. Palacio de
