Very interesting building, I got impressed with the magnitude and the beauty of its chapel. Deserves a visit between tapa and tapa.

During our long journey around Spain we handed up in Santo Domingo De la calzada La Rioja and there we discovered this wonderful catedral. For 3 euros we stay a while to meditate on our great fortune!

The cathedral is the gem of this town. If you are a peregrino (pilgram traveling the Camino of Santiago) this is a lovely stop. There are several legends associated with this town and the cathedral. You will even find live rooster/ hens in the cathedral....More

This was an interesting cathedral to tour, something a little different! The chickens were an entertaining (and maybe a little distracting!) sideshow, and the legend behind them is compelling! The story of Santo Domingo and his devotion to the Camino pilgrims is an interesting one....More
