The mediterranean steps is a short but steep track along the south side of the Rock that leads to the very top and the cannon located up there. The trip takes around 1 hour and offers incredible views all the way. A must go in...More

We stayed for a week surveying the wildlife in Gibraltar and this was the big draw for us. We do like walking, having climbed some of the Munroes in Scotland. We were busy doing the surveys and only really managed two or three free afternoons....More

Sorry. I really cannot see why anyone would give this 'attraction' 5 dots! Rubble on a steep hill. You must REALLY like walking!

My advice is to start at the top from O'Haras battery and go down. Only come up from the Jews Gate if you want a really good work out!

You must be physically fit and wear stout shoes and plenty of water. Take your time and stop to take in the views. Start early on a cloudless day. Enjoy.

Great Views of Gibraltar coastline and Views across the Straits to Morocco and southern Spain. Make sure you take plenty of water and have no problems with steps close to 500 !!

OK so the description "Med Steps" may be a little misleading and perhaps "Med uneven steps and undulating ground" would be better but the experience is well worth the effort. I'm the wrong side of fifty with pinned ankles and bad knees but I managed...More

The steps give you the most amazing views! I would highly recommend it just for the views alone - absolutely gorgeous! Just a warning, these steps are very challenging. It is a very uneven and long journey. And don't be fooled into thinking it will...More

Not suitable at all for children at all. Its not steps it's a very step track with ropes at some points to pull yourself up. it's a sheer drop down to the sea as well. you wouldn't do it in a day with young children. think... More

The walk to the Steps begin at Jews Gate which is near the end of Engineer Road. There is a charge for access to the upper rock reserve, but it will be well worth it if the weather is fine. Take plenty of water and use some... More
