The Moorish Castle is one of the oldest structures on Gibraltar dating back to the 12th century. Not much is left of the castle complex except for the tower which still has some well preserved rooms inside (some of the vaulted ceilings are beautiful). There...More

Go back in time and imagine what it would have been like during the Great Siege. Very steep hill to walk up to the castle. A bus takes you part of the way

Nicely rebuild and housing a small museum and a very nice interior garden. From the top of the tower you will have a great view on the airport, which is also the only road to enter the city. Unique in the world: when a plane...More

There's nothing great about this. We hiked along the entire rock and was an amazing experience. We went out of our way to this place which we could've avoided.

What an interesting visit. We enjoyed it. Ancient and yet really well preserved. Fascinating insight to the history of Gibraltar. Quite a few steps and uneven floors so not suitable for everyone. Fantastic view from the top

This stop was included in our half day tour. The castle itself wasn’t overly impressive, but the top deck lookout was surprisingly beautiful. We really liked it on a beautiful day!

The castle has an interesting history which is well explained in signs around the complex. Of particular interest was the hamman baths which were exhibited halfway up the climb to the top of the castle. Although slightly steep, the climb to the top is not...More

If you take the official taxi tour to the Rock you'll see the Moorish Castle. It's a magnificent structure, and if you view it from Ocean Village, it has a lovely image when lit up at night. Steeped in history, it's well worth a visit,

The views from the top of the tower are great; we were there on a clear day, though it was quite windy. The interior is mostly stairs and a few empty rooms and small windows. There is a mini-pond near the entrance - a cute...More
