A little oasis

Small and beautiful cemetery located just outside the south city walls on the way to the cable car station. A nice 5-10 min stop.

Amazing that this cemetery hasn't been lost to development, and that it is kept so well maintained. Well worth a visit

Despite its name, the majority of the graves in the cemetery are not from the battle of Trafalgar. A quiet little corner at the very end of Main Street it is, however, an interesting reminder of Britain's great seafaring past - and of the cost paid by those who served "King and Country".

Quiet and peaceful, away from the busy Main Street. Interesting history. Work has been done to improve the cemetery.

Trafalgar Cemetery is a bit of a misnomer because there are only two graves of men who fought in the battle. However, this small graveyard is a tiny oasis at the end of Main Street and a poignant reminder of how vulnerable people were to disease and war in the 18th and 19th centuries. If, like me, you find graveyards... More

Pleasant cemetery to visit with a few interesting graves, at the end of Main Street. Most sailors killed at the Battle of Trafalgar were buried at sea. However those who were wounded were brought back to Gibraltar and those who subsequently died were buried there. Officers were buried at Trafagar cemetery (2), and lower ranks elsewhere. However the headstones of... More

Didn't know this was there, we were just walking down the road when we found it. Very pretty, shady place with a lot of information about the tombs

With 2 of Nelson's sailors from the battle of Trafalgar buried here, it was worth the walk to the edge of town. Nicely tended, small graveyard and picturesque on a sunny day.
