A wonderful walk well worth the effort of the climb, with stunning views from the top and beautiful gardens/natural scenery. Unfortunately I visited when it was foggy but even still, the views were excellent! Information stands in English, Spanish, and Galician are a nice touch to learn about the history of the area.

the ancient fortress point with nice park surrounding is a very pleasant tourist attraction ; you can walk up from plaza Espana and go down to old VIGO via the stairs to plaza do Rei

Its a must do in Vigo. The strolling is smooth with beautiful gardens and sight seeing. Full service and plenty of parking.

Excellent place, worth climbing. Especially on a sunny day, the panorama is unforgettable as the major part of the city could be seen from above.

It's quite a walk but well worth it! The grounds are in great shape and there is so much history to see and experience. Those with limited mobility will want to take a cab up and plan on extra time if using a cane. For those in a walker or wheelchair, access is quite limited.

It takes time to get to the top but the views are incredible. A pity that the building of the town hall interfere with the views at half way. Who approved the project of the modern building??? The views are worth the effort.

Nice gardens when you are up there but the route up could do with a bit more loving care. The views are good but there is one particular tall building that spoils the view and we were surprised that planners allowed it.

It's nice that you're able to climb so up and see the city views, but the truth is that there are some really ugly buildings that ruin that view. The garden is nice.
