Great views over Mediterranean Sea
Nov 2021
In addition to the amazing views over the Mediterranean Sea and Tarragona beaches, you can see the ruins of the Roman amphitheater. A nice stop while discovering the city on foot.

What can I see from the balcony?
Jan 2020
The Mediterranean balcony is the place where travel guides recommend to start exploring Tarragona. However, to get to it, you need to go through Tarragona, so it is difficult to follow this thoughtful recommendation. However, this is really a great place to see Tarragona, which stretches its neighborhoods, docks and factories along the Mediterranean coast. From the observation deck, you can see the Roman amphitheater, the city beach, the port, the el Cerrallo district and part of the old town This is where the so-called New Rambla begins.

Can't miss it
Sep 2020 • Couples
Really - if you're in Tarragona, particularly if you come by train, you won't miss this unless you skip going into the city altogether. Tarragona is stunning. There are nice restaurants nearby, too.

A must for anyone visiting Tarragona
May 2020
A leisurely stroll along the Rambla Nova and you come to the Balcon. it is a beautiful spot to look down along the gardens and out to the Mediterranean Sea. A worthwhile walk.

Aptly Named Promenade

Lovely views from atop Tarragona looking down on the Mediterranean. When I arrived here yesterday Storm Gloria was whipping up the sea’s waves and dark, ominous clouds hovered above. Today, the view was sunny and calm. I could see several ships offshore and the red tiled rooftops below looked quite nice. This panorama is located at the eastern end of La Rambla Nova.

Attractive vista
Oct 2019
The Mediterranean Balcony lies at the end of the Rambla Nova, and makes for a great view of the beach and sea below, as well as a bit to the north you can see the Roman ruins. The water below is a beautiful blue, but the beach is nothing to write home about, just a narrow strip of sand. The beach is also many steps below the Balcony, which is not difficult going down, but if your legs are tired, it is somewhat difficult coming back up. Of note are the iron railings at the edge of the Balcony. Touching them is said to bring you good luck. If you are in Tarragona, the Balcony is worth a short visit, or longer if you can find a nice place to sit in the shade to take in the sounds of the beach below.

Great view
Jul 2019 • Solo
Ever since I arrived in Tarragona in June, this had been a spot I return to, even after six months. The views are great and it's lovely to stand there and look at and hear the waves, and to people watch.
