Nice. I do not like paying to enter a church, ticket also cover the museum (not very big indeed). A must see when there.

Girona"s Flower Festival is a Joke!
May 2020
We visited Girona during the so called flower festival. The locals do their best to decorate with paper birds on strings, some potted plants that looked like they came from Home Depot were sitting on the stone steps. Tourists were in this huge line going up into a cathedral looking building to view something that just had to be spectaculer! When we finally entered this small there rop[ed off was a display of old light bulbs on the floor in the shap of flowers! We couldn't believe our eyes! It was like the silliest thing you have ever seen! We have rooms booked but aren't allowede to drive up to the hotel because of the F. Festival. We drag suitcases for blocks on cobble stone and climb up stairways for blocks to get to the Desk to check in. Only to be told , you check in here but have to haul your luggage blocks more to your building! Arriving, the room is up several staircases so narrow you couldn't pass anyone on it. Then to top off this wonderful festival that is a total joke , we have to park our car on the edge of town and walk in pouring rain . When we are ready to leave we discover they have towed our car to a location about 30 minutes out of the city! With the cab ride, the parking ticket and the tow bill, it cost us about $400 to get our car back! This place is a joke! Avoid it at all cost!

Must see
Aug 2020
€7 entry fee (some guides say it free on Sundays - it isn’t). Worth every cent - the treasury is fascinating and the cloisters are beautiful. Great models explain the evolution of the building from the original Roman temple.

Good visit but not the best
Aug 2020 • Couples
It is basically a church, so this is what you can expect. It is quite big inside, and the ticket costs 7 euros and it allows you to visit another church.

Unique and impressive
Aug 2019
The view coming up the stairs is impressive and the shape is different from most other cathedrals, which gives it a unique profile. Of course GOT is a point of interest, and wandering around the cobblestone streets is great. Beautiful town.

Imposing
Dec 2019
The girona cathedral looks imposing from the steps and would be a familiar site to a lot of GOT fans. The steps infront of it are amazing and beautiful and take you back to the medieval ages.

An exquisite 11th Century Church
Sep 2019
As with all of the cathedrals I have visited in Europe, this cathedral is a marvel of architecture both inside and out. I found the stain glass inside of this cathedral to be particularly stunning. The light brought in from through the stained glass contrasted with the somewhat dark interior of the main cathedral. The cathedral also includes a lovely exterior cloister which is very serene in its simplicity. A highlight for me was viewing the incredibly detailed and preserved tapestry which dates back to the early 12th Century. Upon leaving the cathedral I enjoyed counting the 90 steps from the cathedral down to the street in front of the cathedral.

The most imposing monument of old town
Mar 2020
We didn't visit inside the Cathedral, but we stayed a lot of time in the stairways and in the square observing and admiring the beauty of this historical building.

One more cathedral
Apr 2019 • Family
Girona's cathedral is very nice, placed in middle of old town. Building itself cannot be compared to segrada family, bit also represents a unique part of architecture of Catalonia.
