Delightful spot for a picnic, coffee or lunch on the shores of Banyoles lake. The water is crystal clear and good for swimming & paddling. The lake also serves as the training ground for Olympic rowers.

Good value, eco-friendly boat ride for approximately 1 hour across and around the lake. Beautiful scenery, very peaceful, with English commentary for 7 Euros perhead.

Banyoles town is lovely with a large central square surrounded by cafes and restaurants. The lake is very peaceful (except in the high season when it is probably best avoided) - lovely views and possibility to walk right round the lake.
