Welcome to Wine Cuentista! Our philosophy is simple; wine is a source of great fun, pleasure and it is best shared with good company. Understanding the basics of wine will increase the pleasure of the experience, so we combined the two and created Wine Cuentista. Come along for a tasting and enjoy learning about Spanish wine!

Fintan is not only kind and charming, he’s also a breathing encyclopedia. He’s got the answers to all questions you can possibly ask and has a great talent to share all his knowledge in a fun engaging way.
The wines you’ll taste are carefully selected and Fintan has a story to tell about each — he lives up to the name ‘Cuentista’ (in the good sense).
I’ve been to a lot of tastings but Fintan’s are my favourite as I always learn lots of fun facts about what I’m drinking.

Fintan puts on a fine wine show if you're in town. The activities vary but as someone who has gone through the extensive WSET training, he knows wine and how to enjoy it with others. Sometimes he'll set up a blind tastings and others there's a focus on a wine region both inside and outside Spain. There are all different sorts of topics to keep people interested. Highly recommended for both locals and visitors!

Fintan was an amazing host. He shared six phenomenal wines while sharing his knowledge of the wines in easy to understand terminology. His approach to wine was refreshing and was not stuffy. As part of the experience at Bottega Maestro, Fintan shared a wonderful charcuterie plate including an amazing jamon. A private wine tasting with Fintan is a must when visiting Barcelona.

After checking several wine tasting groups in Barcelona, and being a wine professional myself, I can assure that Wine Cuentista is one of the best value for money tastings in the city, both in quality of the wines and information.
I managed to go to several of his themed tastings and decided to book a Team Building event for my company with him, everything was spot on and flawless, we even organised it in our meetings room. Great activity to boost your employees morale!
Great wines, not the average ones from the supermarket and tasty local charcuterie!
I would recommend you to book it without hesitation!

Had a fantastic time with Fin. He really knows his stuff, not just about Spanish wines but about all wines. He was great fun, down to earth but a true expert who is passionate about what he does. Without doubt we'll see him again

Informal wine tasting of 5 or 6 wines, showcasing a topic mostly around Spanish wines. Usually starting off with an entry level, typical wine for the region/grape and progressing to a final taste of a premium product from the same segment. What sets this tasting apart is the great balance of tasting the product, background information, story and socializing. It never feels exhausting like so many tastings do, where everyone pretends to be an expert but at the same time, you will know more about a specific topic in the vast world of wine.

I discovered Fintan's wine tastings in September last year, and that was definitely a discovery of the year! Fintan keeps them informative, but fun, with a great deal of storytelling about every single bottle and a winemaker behind them. Wines are matched by some delicious food too. Try to come at least once or twice a month, as long as I am luck to grab a seat - they are immensely popular for a reason, so make sure to grab your spot soon!

Fintan brings the magic of the storytelling of wine to life! He is an expert in wine and his tastings can appeal to connoisseur and novice alike. An intimate of group of no more than 10 people, you will quickly make friends with locals and international visitors alike. Tastings are conducted in English and curated specifically each week. Fintan puts a lot of thought into the tastings and the story they tell. If you are lucky he will bring his homemade empanadas, otherwise a complement of Spanish cheeses and meats is usually on hand. Rest assured your evening with Wine Cuentista will introduce you to some nice wines, greater wine knowledge, new friendships and a treasured Barcelona memory. Salud!!

I was lucky enough to stumble upon Fintan's wine tasting the very first weekend I moved to BCN and have been a regular ever since. Great atmosphere, delicious wine and Fintan does a really great job at hosting. I definitely recommend checking this out!

I've been to several of Fintan's wine tasting events and I whleheartedly recommend them. Fintan maintains a good balance between providing a lot of information and creating a great atmosphere, so the events are always both very educative while a lot of fun.
If you are into wine you really shoukld book a tasting with Fintan!
