The most random and mad bunch you'll see on a stage in BCN (in English at least I can say for sure!). These people are well able to 'drop the masks' and get stuck in for a bit of a laugh! Anything goes...:)

BIG is a great way to spend a night out and a great place to get involved in a social circle in Barcelona. Highly recommended if you like to laugh and meet fun people from all over!

We went to see a show on a recommendation from a friend and firstly I loved the venue. It was in the poble sec neighborhood which I hadn't heard much about. The venue Tinto Roja, seemed like just a cute dimly lit bar and we thought we were in the wrong place But it opened into a large area with... More

It is a network of like-minded people, a society that allows you to play with fellow expats and locals, an escape from the drab and a way back to the child you've been growing away from for the past however many years.... Not only do these guys put on amazing monthly improv shows, they organise other events like the annual Barcelona Improv Fest and semi-annual Play In A Day, were newbies can come and try improvising themselves. A treasure for all expats living in Barcelona.

Went to a few of their monthly shows this year and a couple of days of their annual festival. Really fun to watch these guys on stage - smart, funny and original. Always a great night out - highly recommended.

I've been going to the BIG workshops for most of the year now, but I'd never had the chance to get to one of the shows! Well, was I impressed or what? They were that good that I'm never going to another class again because they set the bar so high! The venue was such a delight. It was like... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighbourhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
