Neighbourhood: La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-metre boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetising selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a bustling under cover market which offers lots of fresh items for sale, together with a number of food and beverage outlets, some with seating on the lovely square.
Worth swinging by if you are out near the waterfront/ beach.

This is a meat and seafood market. Some stalls also sell fruits. But this market is seriously overpriced.
It is near the Gothic Quarter and if can drop by if you are in the vicinity. Not worth going out of the way to visit this own its own.

This was one of the highlights of my time in Barcelona. The smells all the different kinds of food you can grab a drink here and a bite there and it all is fresh. I went back a few times on my trip.

This is one of the best markets in Barcelona. The food is reasonably priced and everything is very fresh and tasty. Well worth a visit or two.

Avoid the crowds and head here for breakfast. Many of the stalls are still setting up but it is still lively and vibrant with some great food to taste (and buy). We visited in November so I suspect it could get unpleasantly crowded at lunchtime in the height of Summer. Nevertheless, an important place to "tick off' in "doing" Barcelona!

Wow , was not prepared for the vibrancy of the colours and the variety of different specialites on offer. Fish and shellfish I had not seen before you could buy and takeaway to cook your self or eat cooked food on the spot. Very busy on Saturday morning but well worth the visit.
Appreciated being able to buy small quantities of fresh fruits.

On the last day, decided to drop by to eat seafood, although we had our reservations! We were proven wrong.
Seafood is fresh and in front of you. Tried Sea Bream, Sardine and vegetables. All fresh, excellent and value for money. Service is also excellent.
Give a try and value for money. Can not go wrong if you like seafood

It is obvious that most of the travellers talking about Mercado de la Boqueria which is close to La Rambla. Mercat de la Barceloneta is very close the beach. My question is after visiting Mercado de la Boqueria, should I also visit mercat de la barceloneta too?
