If you're looking for the designer brands this is the place. Plus the home to Casa Batllo and La Pedrera. A must see area in Barcelona to visit.

See if you can find a rooftop bar/cafe to really see things from the top down. Such great architecture in a well planed section of the city, easily navigated on foot.

This is a excellent location around a 15 minute walk to las ramblas, great links via the metro. It’s a quieter part of town but has great shops and restaurants

We stayed in this district for 4 days and I can admit that is by far the nicest one in Barcelona. Clean, not overcrowded and NOT touristic. Within walking distance from the centre and important landmarks, but if you don't fancy walking you can use...More

Gaudi and Moderniste design reigns in the Eixample (eye-SHAM-plah). No trip to Barcelona is complete without taking in La Sagrada Familia, La Pedrera and the Block of Discord (Casa Batllo and Casa Amatller).

Eixample is famous for being a high-class residential and shopping area as well as home to some of Antoni Gaudi's masterpieces. Top attraction is definitely the La Sagrada Familia. Other notable attractions are Casa Mila, Casa Amatller and Casa Batllo. Passeig de Gracia is the...More

Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you
enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally
translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes
recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant
atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district,
Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end
international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the
glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best

I used AirBnB and there are many good locations around the area. The one I stayed at was practically a hotel.
