The Tablao de Carmen pays tribute to the great flamenco dancer, Carmen Amaya, born in 1913 in the gypsy quarter of Somorrostro which then existed in what is today Barcelona's Olympic Village. Carmen Amaya made her debut in 1929 before King Alfonso XII on the site which is today the Tablao de Carmen at the inauguration of Poble Espanyol de Montjuic. The Tablao offers a top quality pure flamenco show, a direct descendant of the tradition. It dynamically presents several of the most important palos or styles of flamenco so that the spectator can get to know the richness and variety of this art form. It also highlights its different forms of expression: instrumental, vocal and dance.

The dancing was amazing. Admittedly, I know nothing about Flamenco, but it was beautiful to watch. The music and dancing was very entertaining. The dancers really seemed to be enjoying performing with each other and watching them was a high point in my vacation. The...More

We made reservations on-line to see the Flamenco dancers and ordered the “tapas only” rather than the full dinner. The tapas were just so so but nothing spectacular. The dancers and accompanying singers/musicians were quite good but you could tell that this did routine this...More

We had the tapas package. We went on a Thursday night. The establishment was more than half empty. The dancers were very good. The food was mediocre. There's also a package that does not include food

We highly recommend this dinner & Flamenco Show. We loved the location (in the Spanish Village), the food, service and absolutely the entertainment! The show itself is amazing! I cannot say enough about it! You must go see for yourself!

Great atmosphere. An intimate setting with the tables close to the stage. We started with tapas, generous portions of 6 different items, plus your choice of sangria, wine or beer. The sangria was excellent! The service was great. The flamenco show lasted about an hour....More

We had a great time here! We went early to explore the village a bit - it was quiet and later in the evening, very relaxing. The restaurant is clean and feels homey on the inside. Everyone was very nice. The sangria was our favorite...More

We chose the tapas menu and found it to be completely satisfying. We were served several different tapas along with sangria and a red wine. All delicious. The food was followed by flamenco dancing. There were three female dancers, one male dancer and two singers,...More

I don't see why not! Unless you have a problem with serving wine or sangria. It's like a dinner show with a lot of flamenco dancing. I personally loved it and I have 6 grandkids. If I would have them with me I would take... More
