We had downloaded the mobile app City Walks for Barcelona, and this was one of the buildings it directed us to. Very different to surrounding buildings. Have look if you get the chance.

It is located near Casa Batllo on Passeig de Gracia, although not as impressive but still an interesting building and well worth taking some pictures.

We have visited several of the art nouveau buildings in Barcelona over several visits, but we finally visited Casa Lleo i Morera and found it to be one of the most beautiful. Gaudi gets a lot of attention, but this one-floor apartment by Lluis Domenech i Montaner has sculptures above doorways, elaborate floors and spectacular stained glass. You must take... More

I did the express tour which is a 1/2 hour tour of the building. Only the first floor is open to the public. The guide is very informed the and interior is beautiful. I really enjoyed this tour...I actually enjoyed it much more than I enjoyed Casa Batllo.

When you are tired of Gaudi and audio tours, visit one of the Casas Singulares (also Casa Amantller two houses down and Palau Baro de Quadras on Diagonal. Alex at the desk helpfully informed me of the discount dual admission with Amantller (note: at both, English tours are offered at 11 am only) and the fact that Baro de Quadras... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
