Open since november 2007. Icebarcelona has become a must see in the Condal City. Frequented as much by locals as by tourists, the icebar is a perfect place to enjoy an original and very amusing experience.

The first ice bar at the beach in the world. A unique place at a temperature of -5ºC (20ºF), designed by internationally renowned artists.

The average visit lasts 45 minutes. While you are shivering with fun, you can relax on the terrace, perfect for an al fresco cocktail right in front of the Mediterranean sea.

I have never been to an ice bar - it was an awesome experience. Highly recommended! I went with a few friends - we met many new friends from different countries. We took many fun memorable pictures!

It was a very small place but it had to be done. We loved the drinks we got with our tickets and the star wars theme was great! If you have never been to an icebar before, it is a must visit.

Ok, this was quite the experience. It was $17 a person to get in, but if you have never done an ice bar, it was worth it. You got a drink with the $17 and the drink came in an ice glass. You only spent about 1/2 hour - an hour in there. They provide a jacket and gloves with... More

We searched the icebar out as I've always fancied visiting one but never got round to it. The price of entry was 17.50 euro's which included a free drink and use of a coat and gloves. Plagiarising other peoples comments it's basically a stores freezer with ice sculptures in it and its what you make of your time there that... More

Having worked at a grocery story many years ago, the ice bar reminded me of going into the store's freezer that held the inventory, minus the ice sculptures of course. Dressing appropriately is also a good idea. There were girls in short skirts and sandals and they had to leave every 5 minutes to warm up. The theme we saw... More

Visited here with friends after the Barcelona marathon. Bit out the way but nice location and just off the beach. Not possibly as organised as it might be but good all the same. Coats on, gloves on then a free cocktail served in an ice glass. Cocktails are not bad. Some nice ice carvings if you like star wars. Helped... More

Great place, very enjoyable but as with most things "It's what you make it" yes it seems expensive at the time but get involved. It's 17.50 euros on the door and you can book online for 16 euros but also if you forget to book online just go in a local hotel where they have various leaflets for trips and... More

If you havent been to one before then give it a go. Some good sculptures to see made of ice. You get one drink and its not exactly cheap entry. Very similar to others in other regions, don't expect a bar, you will be in and out in 30 minutes. Still worthwhile to visit once but not if you have... More

We arrived with high hopes and were definitely let down. It costs €16 each with a discount, and all it is is the smallest freezer room. There's about 2 seats and drinks are €6.50. We spent 10 minutes in here as it was a complete waste of time. Over priced. Go to a normal bar for cheaper and to be... More

Thanks for your feedback. We regret you didn´t like the ice bar experience. For future visitors we would to clear up that there is a drink included with the entry ticket. More

This was our first ice bar experience, and I'm afraid to say it was a massive waste of money. I suppose in the summer the experience may be fun - but in February it is nothing more than an expensive watered down cocktail in a bit freezer, !

Staying in Ciutadella / Vila Olimpica

Neighbourhood Profile
Ciutadella / Vila Olimpica
The sounds of Marina Olympica's rocking boats and clicking mastheads swaying to and fro set an impressive backdrop for Ciutadella and Villa Olimpica. Follow the aromas of garlic, wine, and fresh local fish to the various restaurants running along the marina. A grand bronze fish statue soaring high above serves as a beacon to those searching for the renowned Casino Barcelona or the extremely popular nightclubs which practically lie on the beach itself.
