Park Guell is one of the masterpieces of the catalan architect Antoni Gaudi, who projected it in 1900. Inaugurated as a public park in 1926, it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, reconizing its patrimonial and cultural value as a symbol of modern architecture, being one of the biggest exponents of Gaudi's modernism. This playful urban park, the work of architect Antoni Gaudi, features peaceful greens, winding paths and many sculptures and mosaics designed by Gaudi himself.

We recommend the following options for ensuring that you arrive on time at the Park Guell Monument Precinct:

- Metro (green line, get off at Lesseps or Vallcarca). When you leave the station, you’ll have a walk of about 20-25 minutes.

- City bus (lines H6 and 32). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 15 minutes.

- City bus (lines 92 and 24). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 5 minutes.

- Barcelona City Tour and Bus Turistic. When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 10 minutes.

- Taxi to Park Guell (Carretera del Carmel or Calle de Marianao)

We had a quick walk around the park in the evening which was relaxing and gave good views over the city. It's worth waiting until after 1815 to enter some of the paid for elements !

Really enjoyed the colourful mosaic and unusual designs. It's like being in a different world. Wonderful view of the city as well.

Right at the top of the city, bit of a walk but well worth it for the fews and the park its self, so much to walk around in.

I'll start by saying we didn't have a tour guide or audio guide, both of which usually enhance any experience...so that was our fault (although I didn't see an option for an audio guide). The park was more crowded than I anticipated, especially for February. It was also pretty hard to get to...the taxi took about 30 minutes to get... More

Coupled this with Sagrada by catching the bus. Walked to the top to get great views of the city. Wandered around the free area for about 90 mins and still more we could have done.

We have visited Parc Guell several times when visiting Barcelona and were disappointed to find that what was once a free tourist attraction is now 8eu per person to go into a small area which was previously free, it was also an extra cost to go into another area. I appreciate that maintaining these sites costs money but to go... More

Don't get my 4 stars wrong - this place is amazing! Such cool architecture and interesting things to see. Awesome view of Barcelona. Super touristy and crowded though. Everyone and their children want a photo with the lizard so good luck trying to get one that doesn't have tourists in it. Aside from that, really really nice! Gaudi is great!

Nice but waaaay overrated...long waiting lines . The view of Barcelona is very beautiful though! The green area around it or the the actual park itself much nicer than the few buildings and formations called art.

Great place to visit with excellent views of Barcelona and the works of Gaudi. The only downside was having to pay to enter Gaudi's house and then viewing area. If you then wanted to see the other parts (the houses) you have to pay for all of these separate to. Also, too many people trying to sell cheap goods on... More

Great place to visit with some of Gaudi's best work. I was surprised to find out how big Park Guell is. Be prepared for lots of walking and wear proper shoes. I went in February and did not have to wait in line very long. However, there are a lot of tourists to deal with when walking around.
