We were told about this place by friends who had been in the summer when they were lucky enough to visit when the fountains were operating. There is free parking leading up to the Palace, and a free separate car park a few 100 mtrs from the gate on the roundabout. Lovely tree lined approach, to the Palace -charges apply... More

We made this an afternoon day trip while staying at Segovia. The bus leaves quite frequently, every 45 minutes during much of the day. We chose to have a light, "carry on" lunch which we ate at a park bench once we arrived, so we did not have to worry about finding a restaurant until supper. The palace is not... More

A beautiful Palace. The grounds are gorgeous and you can walk around for free. Fountain after fountain awaits, it's truly wonderful. With the mountains as a backdrop, this Palace definitely has the 'wow' factor. The only disappointing thing was to learn that the fountains are only turned on once a year in July. However, the statues in the fountains more... More

We cam across this palace when driving to Segovia. Entering through the main gate you can park for free. In fact the whole palace and grounds are free. The long tree lined driveway with the old preserved village either side leads up to the magnificent and extensive palace complex. It is both ornate and grand with beautiful gardens to the... More

This Palace is a awesome place to go with kids, the gardens are enormous, the view is impressive. We had the opportunity to see water sources running , it seems that they only turn them on once a year.

The fountains in the gardens of this palace are amazing. They are only turned on once a day, in the evening and you can stroll through the gardens with the crowd and as the crowd gather at the next fountain they will turn it on. Follow the man with the flag as he signals when they are turned on. Ther... More

Very disappointed as this is nicknamed the "little Versailles". I've been to about 20 European countries & am a huge fan of the royal palaces. However, I would honestly say this is the worst one I have ever seen! Perhaps the weather was related but it was freezing cold inside & out. Almost no people were there, so a bit... More
