When you leave the castle / alcazar, walk around the wall to the right on your way back into Plaza Mayor. It is only one minute farther, and gives you a real sense of the history and position of this ancient town.

There is a stair case up onto the walls right next to the Puerta de San Andres not far from the Jewish Quarter. You need to go to the next door tourist office, where you can get the pass code for the entry gate, which...More

I wasn't sure about visiting the wall but, in the end, I'm glad I did. The man in the visitor centre was very helpful and, because I bought a couple of souvenirs, he didn't charge me for the code to the gate. The section of...More

The walls are free - you just need to get an access code for the gate from the visitor center. You cannot walk very far but it has great views of the countryside and the Alcazar.

This is the longest Spanish, complete, medieval city wall-still finding previously unknown city gates

A protective stone layer, full of beauty. You can follow a tour itinerary on the outside, really nice and busy. Restoration work executed with respect and sobriety. Near the alcazar you get good panoramic views both from its upper part, as from below.

Segovia is one of my favourite cities in Spain. You need to walk around these walls to not only get the great views but to get the feel of a fortified city.

To access the walls, one needs a key code, which can be obtained from the small museum near San Andres’ Gate. This is a small charge for the museum (including the walls) but it’s usually free on Thursdays. Do, however, check the museum opening times,...More

There are several places to get essentially on top of the wall and its walkable on the sidewalk next to it. Hiking: There's also a path down below the wall & Alcazar that has great views of the Alcazar & the town.
