This is a must, period. Totally central, close to the old University façade and to both cathedrals. Ideal to sit, drink coffee, have a beer or three, see the sights and basically enjoy life. Try it.

If you have a chance to come to Salamanca make sure you do, it is truly the most beautiful small city we have been to around the world. Perfect to wander the streets and soak up the atmosphere and enjoy some tapas and vinos!

Beautiful city we were there during festival which was brilliant. Lunchtime concert by local orchestra was great fun with locals joining in and dancing in Place Mayor. Great cafes in the Place and not expensive.

Walk around all the streets - there is beauty at every turn be it the riverside or the main town centre. The buildings are amazing - make sure you go to the public library as well as those on the tourist list.

The Plaza Mayor area is full of outdoor restaurants, and it is a great place to sit back with some tapas and sangria or beer and watch the world go by!
