Out walking and stopped in to view the church and its interior. I has great altars and artwork. Make sure to take the tour. Very impressive interior. Sort of dark, makes some pictures difficult. Definitely a must see.

Other than for services you can only visit the Clerecia on the guided tours of the Pontifical University. (Only in Spanish.) The interior is really monumental and probably meant to make you feel overwhelmed for it was built by/ for the Jesuits. It's also rather...More

They've recently opened Scala Coeli (Stairway to Heaven) and it is just that, an opportunity to climb up the two towers of the Clerecía and have a great view of the town

Had a guided tour (only in Spanish, none available in English). Beautiful buildings and paintings. Interesting history of the university.

Like with the old and new cathedral, you get free access every Tuesday from 10 to 12. The view from the top is outstanding putting the Salamanca experience in a different perspective.

Views from the towers of La Clerecia (Scala Coeli) are spectacular and well worth the effort of climbing all those stairs! Didn't have much chance to visit the interior of the church (as it closed during our visit for a wedding)

We went to this place on a Tuesday between 1000-1200hrs when there is a free entry and guide up to the top of the spires - a lot of steps so be warned ! Great views from top though

We didn't visit anything of the university, but decided to go up the towers instead. There are rather a lot of steps, but the views from the top of the towers are really good and you are higher here than you are in the cathedral...More

Clerecia is one of the oldest churches in Salamanca. The tours are very interesting and informative. I am not sure whether they are given in English, but the guide who led us in Spanish was very well informed.

The pontifical university can be visited only with guided tours, and our guide was very interesting, and the place is worth of a visit.
