Chose this one by location, near center, and never regreted it !. Very freindly and informative guide/greeter lady. Many beautiful and interesting items and details in buildning. Religious artifacts of great interest too. The collection of historic artifacts and household/farming equipment was very good and...More

This little convent just off the Gran Via is worth a visit. It has amazing treasures and houses a church with a fantastic Churriguera altar. On the ground floor are recently uncovered wall paintings dating back to the 13th century. You can go right to...More

I really liked this place, and being the only visitor meant I not only got an hour's tour, but also a Spanish lesson. Of partcular note: 14th century frescoes and the old ceiling from before the church was re-built - I clambered up and down...More

Great guided tour to an 800 years convent that is still active. You can go up and see from upclose the original roof top. It also includes a very complete ethnographic museum.

If you have the chance ask for Carmen the keeper of the place. She was a wonderful guide explaining everything as we went along the choir, the church, the ethnographic museum. Very interesting

We turned up here, on the E edge of Salamanca old town, just before lunchtime closing. It seemed locked up so we turned away, only to be called back by a lady who took us on a personal guided tour. She didn't speak any English...More

The outside of this building is quite plain but once inside, there are multiple reasons to be awed by the art and architecture. The altar is the centerpiece.

This convent has a rather strange set-up. A very friendly woman shows people around but you can only get in every hour or so. The lady escorts you to various parts and then lets you look around yourself or at times accompanies you. There are...More

We visited this during our recent trip to Salamanca. At first, when we turned up, we couldn't work out how to get in, even although there was a timetable of guided tours (they seem to run over 50 minutes from 9.30 when they're open). Another...More
