This is a very light stone building of four storeys in height. Each floor has a theme whether it be a particular artist or even a style or type of item from paintings to glass to ceramics. The cafe is a lovely haven and the restored original coffee machine is shown in the photograph above. All exhibits are most definitely... More

If you're pushed for time about what to see in Salamanca and don't get overly excited about dolls and fans, then I think you could safely give this one a miss. It has a few nice bits of furniture and lots of witty, beautiful little sculptures and figurines, plus a gorgeously glazed central atrium. The few paintings are rather dull,... More

This is a marvelous museum, with many delightful rooms of art nouveau. I was particularly impressed with the many representations of women throughout the exhibits. And those who like dolls will love the collection here.

Definitely worth seeing the stained glass ceiling and the bright and cheery decatorive building. There are only a couple of displays of furniture but lits of period pieces and the most comprehensive and impressive is the huge doll collection. The building was restored back in 1905-06 by Joaquin de Vargas y Acquire. At €4 each it is definitely not to... More

Interesting to come across a museum totally dedicated to a single artistic and style movement (well, perhaps two). This amazing Art Nouveau house, with stunning stained glass windows and ceiling, houses a varied collection of everything Art Nouveau and Art Deco. From paintings to sculpture, costume, dolls, jewellery, furniture... you name it. Nice cafe with one wall of amazing stained... More

A wonderful collection of art deco glass, sculpture and period toys. A manageable museum representing an essentially personal connection. The building is wonderfully renovated with outstanding Art Deco glasswork. Collection is well presented and curated. A small cafe is available.

We toured the museum and then had a coffee and pastries in the cafe. Really enjoyed a couple of hours here.
