Located next to the river in a very pretty part of Burgos. It is a beautiful entrance with the Puente Sta. Maria Bridge on one side and the Plaza Rey San Fernanado on the other Nice photo op.

There are/were 12 gates opening into Burgos. This is the major one existing today and leads straight to the heart of the city. Burgos was a major Medieval city. You can imagine El CID riding thru the gates. This was his city.

A well preserved gateway to the old historic centre. Open to viewing as you pass through. Best go on foot to appreciate it.

Historic arch. Interesting architecture. Must see from both sides, both entrances. Specially from the promenade. Climb the two floors, there is a museum inside.

This arch is cool. I wish I new more about it other then it's old and looks cool. You don't need to spend a lot of time here but some time to take it all in would be good
