This object was used to march in the streets and impress the flock. It’s got so much gold and so many jewels. This church had so much money and this is amazing.

This beautiful piece is on display in the cathedral. You get a ticket and audio guide (do get the audio guide it is free with entry and really provides the details behind what you are looking at) across the street from the cathedral entrance.

This is such an intricate piece and absolutely beautiful! The first version of it was apparently made from the first lot of gold that Christopher Columbus brought back from the new world.

As you browse the magnificent cathedral, make sure you don't miss this; it's a bit hard to find in one of the side areas. It's incredibly ornate and a testament to amazing craftsmanship.

This room in the cathedral is a good example of what could be missed if you weren’t using a guide. We are firm believers of benefiting from all the reasons to tour cathedrals with a local guide. The Custodia de Arle is a contrast from...More

The level of detail and the amount of gold an jewels are impressive. Not sure why this is listed separately to the cathedral though, since it is part thereof and one cannot see it without a general admission to the cathedral. That said, the cathedral...More

This monstrance is huge and extremely valuable and ornate. It is mostly gold with some silver and is about twice as tall as a person. You do have to seek it out but it is worth the effort to do so.

You have to pay to enter the Cathedral to see this incredible Monstrance. I think a lot of people miss it as it lies in a small room tucked away in the far corner of the cathedral. There is not much room around it so...More

The craftsmanship of this piece is unbelievable. Hard to believe that they allow it to be carried through the streets once a year. It is located in it's own room in a corner of the Catedral. Do not miss it.
