There are two painting of el greco one should visit, Entierro del Conde de Orgaz in this church and the Expolio in the cathedral. Apart from the a panting and the story of the Count, the rest of the church is forgettable.

The real and only reason to visit this church is to see the Burial of Saint Orgas by El Greco. It is his ultimate masterpiece and repays a long study.

A bit surprised that it was just the painting and not the church we were visiting but the chance to see an El Greco masterpiece was worth it. The entrance fee is very reasonable and the audio guide a must as it gave so much background to the painting that was invaluable. Tio would be to get there early so... More

This church has the original painting by the master El Greco; this is his masterpiece, the best of the best the "Burial of the Conde de Rogaz". A must to enjoy.

We visited this and a few others on a self guided tour. Narrow roads and plenty of interesting shops and restaurants to stroll through.

If it was not for the painting, this church would get a fraction of the visitors that it does attract. The painting is great - the rest of the church is nice. Great tower when seen from outside - Spot the Arabic Influence.

...but that doesn't mean it's a bad reason to visit. "The Burial of the Count of Orgaz" is an exceptionally beautiful work, even for El Greco. Seeing this painting has been on my bucket list since my college Spanish class, and it didn't disappoint. It was crowded while we were there, but not so much that you couldn't make your... More

This is a small church in Toledo, but there is one big treasure inside, which is a painting from El Greco named "El enterro del conde de Orgaz", painted directly on the wall, on the right odf the main entrance. This painting is considered one of the most important in the world and I fully recommend to visit this church.

We visited this church in July because we wanted to see El Greco's painting The Burial of the Count of Orgaz. I loved it. The church itself is small, very traditional, smells of incense (which I love)...your typical Spanish church. Bring cash because they don't take credit cards and the closest ATM is about 10 min away. We know because... More
