A place you have to visit if you are in Santa Cruz. A special plaza with the "lake" and the flowers. Very beautiful.

This place is very nice to have a walk and just to chill out. This is very typical from this place.The monuments around are nice to see, the negative point is the view of the see, completely hidden by the engines, construction, work unfinished ......More
We used this plaza as a focal point for exploring out from and then returning to base, so to speak. Fairly quiet when we were there which obviously helped. Lots of character in and around it.
This is a great place to meet people because it is right in the centre of the city. Close to all activities and a nice place to relax and look at the water, and take a photo with the I love Santa Cruz sign.
Our hotel was next to the Plaza Espana so we spent a fair amount of time there enjoying the many restaurants and shops as well as visiting the underground museum which is free and the information center next to the beautiful artificial pond.
