Great beach area with plenty of space for all. Refreshments are available from small kiosk shops Don`t miss the rock garden behind the Castle Philip just to the right of the beach when facing the sea. Can be a little busy at weekends, appears to be a locals favorite. Wrap up warm on a cold day and enjoy the fresh... More

Out hotel was situated 200m from this beach so we tended to always start our walks by going straight down to it. It has nice gardens and cafes situated along the path. It seemed a popular place to sunbathe on, but not being a fan of sand, we were happy to sit and watch the waves, drink Barraquitos, and go... More

We walked around here quite a lot. There is lots of attractive planting around the edge of the beach. And the view out to Punta Brava is lovely. We are not fans of sandy beaches, but if you like black sand, this beach will fit the bill. There are sunbeds and sunshades for hire and plenty of places to get... More

Whilst we were there you could not go in the water. The breakers were rolling into shore with some ferocity. Mad it a splendid walk, though, along the front into Puerto town.

At Puerto de la Cruz, this is one of the most cleanest and better beaches. Besides being a bit overcrowded, you can enjoy a good time there with friends or family. The public bathrooms are really disgusting, the smell there is almost insupportable.

It is a very lovely walk a long the coast line on the left handside from Puerto de la Cruz - we walked to Punto Brava, an old town, nothing much to see there...

What a wonderful show! Such waves! We enjoyed it without taking a bath. Parking spaces nearby. The volcan behind us.

Great spot to people watch, especially those who don't appreciate how quickly the wash from the waves can come up the beach. Everyone has a good laugh when then get soaked.
