Having read some of the other reviews I am somewhat bemused. At just €5.50 entrance fee which gives you access to the pools, restaurant areas, ample sun beds and changing facilities etc I struggle to see how this can be considered expensive. What strikes you is the cleanliness throughout the complex, particularly the toilets/changing rooms which were continuously being cleaned.... More

We have been very dissapointed as pools were freezing cold in mid April (hotels pools were fine) the only warm pool (jaccuzi ) is charged extra 3 euro per 20 minutes and it's adults only.

Excellent location but, being in the middle of town, disappointingly enclosed view from the balcony. Spacious but basic room with tiny fridge that didn't get that cold. Comfortable bed. No aircon but fan provided served its purpose. Safety deposit boxes nr Reception. (Fee payable.) Breakfast in cramped dining room was very basic. Car park was free but about a 10... More

I spent the day here, everything about this place is excellent. Got a sun lounger and parasol, lovely crashing waves behind me and wow the saltwater lake is bliss. It is better than the pictures in my opinion. No queue to the spotless changing rooms and no charge to check in belongings. People bring their own food or the snack... More

Great day out, on a warm day. I realise some of the other reviews are mixed, but this is unlike any other pool complex you would see in the UK so worth a visit. Quite cold sea water, so we took wetsuit shorties and were fine in April. We spent most of a day. You do need to rent an... More

Super for lazy days in the sun, entrance fee includes hire of a lounger and mattress. Good and drink are reasonably priced too.

We really enjoyed our visit to Lago Martianez. It is very well planned with several pools and the dramatic fountain inlets which are switched on every now and then, shooting sea water high into the air. Puerto de la Cruz has limited choices for beaches at this end of town and it is certainly a good option if you don't... More
