Please do not spend your money here
Jul 2020
The living area is way too small for these big Killer Whales. Please do not believe the lies they tell you about the animals. If you are an animal lover, you will not visit this zoo.

Terrible COVID security measures
May 2021
Security measures for COVID are miserable. Lots of signs and gel dispensers around but zero capacity control, entrance is supposed to be limited but the park was crowded as usual. Show access is not limited at all, there’s lack of organization at the exit once the show is over and you have to wait on queues too close to other people. Masks are mandatory inside the park but there was a lot of people walking without them and nobody seemed to care. They are obviously understaffed and the few workers there can’t handle this volume of attendance. Gel dispensers are authomatic and too high for children. One of the kids in our group ended up with alcoholic solution in her eye. Bathrooms are filthy when they used to be impolute. The aquarium was the worst part, it’s a tight enclosure and nobody is checking how many people get in at once ( pre-covid there was always a lot of staff around guiding people and cleaning surfaces all the time, makes no sense that there’s nobody there right now). The sharks tunnel was absolutely caothic and we just rushed out without even looking, people were taking pics without masks. This visit was the most umpleasant ever, if this is how it looks in May I don’t want to imagine how it will be once the tourists start to come in during the summer. Also, they requested my fingerprint at the entrance for the annual card, which I was not warned about when I got the card or I would have not renewed it as they are not clear at all about how this kind of data is stored, when I asked, staff was rude and told me it was mandatory, but no other explanation. The screen used to get the fingerprint was not cleaned after each customer. Money talks I guess, once customers pay they just don’t seem to care about anything else. Those very “scrict protocols” they brag about so much in the press need a good review in my opinion.

Dear visitor, First of all we would like to thank you for your visit. Please be assured that we have taken all necessary measures to ensure the health of our visitors and staff, and we carefully monitor the capacity to guarantee a safe environment and comply with all regulations. We are actually making an extra effort by putting audio messages throughout the entire park to remind the visitors about the safety rules, there is personnel in every strategically important areas of the park. Inasmuch, there are signs placed throughout the park in different languages and disinfectant dispensers throughout a park. As far as fingerprint scanning is concerned, this is done because the annual card is personal and non-transferable. No data is stored on our servers, the card is simply associated to a person through a fingerprint. We regret that you do not feel that you received the attention you expected and we will pass the information on to the departmental managers in order to take the corresponding measures. We really appreciate your visit and your feedback and we are looking forward to welcoming you again at the best zoo in the world, a recognition that we are proud to have received from our visitors from all over the world. Best Regards; Loro Parque Team

Loro park is zoo with sealions, dolphins, parrots and orcas shows. I suggest to go here in the morning time, because there is less people. Loro park is big, you can stay here all day. You will see there various animals, like penguins, lions, birds, monkies, fishes, rodents.. Tickets fee for adult is 38 eur. You can take a small train from center of the Puerto de la Cruz and you pay zero eur.

Beautiful animal park in the north of Tenerife
May 2021
Loro Parque is a beautiful animal park in the north of Tenerife near Puerto de la Cruz. I was able to visit it on the first day of the reopening after a year long closure due to covid. You immediately see the park is very well maintained and the animals are taken care of very well. The park looks small at first but there is so much to see you can easily spend an entire day walking around and visiting the different areas. There are 4 shows in the park (the most well known but somewhat controversial one being with orcas) which are now only 2 or 3 times a day, so you need to plan a bit, but the showtimes are such that you can chain them all together in the morning and then spend the afternoon strolling around the park. There are also several exhibitions in the park, the most impressive being the Planet Penguin, the aquarium and AquaViva, which is an impressive display of exotic jellyfish. A must when visiting Tenerife!

PURE ANIMAL ABUSE
Apr 2021
A horror experience for the whole family, the Orca "show" was PURE animal abuse from start to finish and it was clear to anyone with just a hint of knowledge about marine mammals that they are suffering and abused

Fantastic experience
Mar 2021
Due to covid situation only private tours (10 person groups) were allowed. So we had a group of 10 and a guide for the whole day, i.e. from 10 am to 5:15 pm. We could see and experience everything. All shows. And we had time enough to admire the animals. Very recommendable!

Great value in the Exclusive Tour during Covid
Apr 2021
Loro Parque is running exclusive tours during Covid. It is a bit expensive but includes an excellent lunch at a gourmet steakhouse and more importantly you have a small group guided tour throughout this amazing park. Our guide was very knowledgeable and allowed us to learn much more than in a typical visit. All together the value was fantastic even with the higher than normal ticket price. If you come to Tenerife and they are still running this package, we highly recommend it!

finally someone sensible who made money and understood that he made it thanks to nature and this planet. he realized that the planet does not belong only to humans. The owner certainly devoted his whole heart to the construction of Loro Park and teaching children and young people how to treat animals and the planet. My big thanks to him for that.
