The dolphin show you need to see it's incredible all I can say TripAdvisor not lying . If U in Tenerife must to do.

Spent one day in Loco Parque after hearing so many good reviews of the place and we were not left disappointed . It's an expensive day out but you come away with so many memories that it's worth every cent. All the shows Dolphin, whale, parrot were very entertaining. The park is spotlessly clean and seems really professionally run. So much better than anywhere similar we have been before. There are so many animals to view throughout the park and they all seem really well cared for in appropriate environments. It's no surprise this place is number 1 in the world on Trip Advisor, it's definitely worth a trip.

We loved our trip to loro parque. Nothing negative to say it was a lovely place to visit and it seems as though the animals are very well looked after which is reassuring, as other zoos don’t always give off the same impression sadly. The zoo enclosures are spacious and the staff seem super friendly.
We also really enjoyed the shows which consisted of seeing the whales, dolphins and birds. All of these were incredible and were a major highlight of our holiday! Would 100% recommend!

It's been great to see this place grow over the years, since my 1st visit in 1982, & 2nd in 1986 while in Puerto de la Cruz for the 1st International Parrot Conference & then again in 1990 for the 2nd Conference & was lucky enough to be part of a group to be shown around the breeding aviary by Wolfgang Kiessling himself, which was extra special.
Now we visit on our stays in Puerto, as residents with our residents discount.
This time we steered clear of the big shows & crowds, though we did enjoy the Educational Parrot Show.
Our best moment was being lucky enough to be in the Katandra Treetops area during feeding time, I loved the noise happy Parrots make, & Mrs.B loving a little Lorikeet chewing her trainer laces.
Saw many other animals, & it was nice to see the Male Lion looking very handsome with his growing mane, along with the Jaguars etc.
Also liked the animal carvings near the entrance, & loved seeing the baby Parrots at the Animal Embassy near the exit.
Probably be another couple of years before we next visit, but one thing we will never do again is use the Wally Train, my bones will never be the same again, hey ho that's old age for you.

Beautiful park
Free flying birds too was excellent to see. Orca show had me in tears listening to the rescue and rehabilitation of one whale

This is a must for anyone who is on holiday in Tenerife. This was our second visit to the park, our first time was some seven years ago and we got as much [pleasure from this visit as we did the first time we came.
I would suggest that prior to your visit that you read any literature you can on the parks origins and it many conservation projects it runs and supports. It will give you an idea of how important Loro Parque is and help plan your visit as planning to see all the animal shows as well as the rest of the animals within the time constraints is feat in itself. My wife and I decided that to see all the shows and all the other animals at the park would need a visits on consecutive days, one day for the shows and the second to take a relaxed walk around the park to see all the other animals.
Both the whale and dolphin shows a brilliant and the Parrot show is lovely. During the shows the constant theme is animal welfare and conservation which is no bad thing.
We had a thoroughly enjoyable day definitely.

Cannot get the song out of my head!!! What a day trip! Great animal embassy! Parrot show was okay, however used to better in years gone by. Dolphin show - OUTSTANDING! Orca show was good. You can tell these trainers absolutely love these animals and show compassion and care for them!
The penguin world is tremendous! Really good to watch the penguins interact with staff in the snowdome and wanting the snow thrown them! The travlator needs to be sped up a little, especially when very busy!
Not a great selection at gift stores, more things could be sold! Excellent to hear that at certain stalls 100% of the proceeds goes towards the foundation!!!!
Also had food here, food was reasonably priced and decent portion sizes and freshly cooked.

Bought tickets in advance from tui rep however they failed to tell use the queue was bigger to exchange these than it was to buy them at park so don’t bother getting them in advance. Shows were very good and park was lovely, clean and lots to see. Food was good too. Only complaint we had was to use toilets you were aggressively demanded to pay a 1 euro charge. This park is not cheap so demanding a charge to use toilets is really not good. Entrance toilets were the worst with attendant demanding payment and chasing if you did not have money really bad service… I am sure the park entrance is high enough to pay attendant salary. We visit every time we come to Tenerife but toilet experience has put me off visiting again. There was 6 of us so it was expensive once in the park.

Poor treatment of whales and dolphins, much preferred seeing dolphins in the wild on a boat trip. Don’t waste your money on Loro Park.

We are very sorry that your experience did not live up to your expectations. It is important to mention that the killer whales and dolphins that live in Loro Parque receive excellent care and quality food, we care for all the animals that are in the zoo and provide the best care that exists.

Is it worth getting the skip the line tickets? What does it actually get you?

Hello Jennifer,
To answer your question we booked the tickets through TUI so I cannot say for certain as to whether getting skip the line tickets is worth it. I'm sorry I cannot be of any help with your question, however the park is very busy at opening time so getting those tickets may be advantageous however you do get through the gates fairly quickly though when it does open.
I hope you enjoy your visit and I'd suggest you plan your show times carefully as there isn't much time between each show and managing to get to see all the other animals.

Il tour delle attrazioni "libere" è una passeggiata che senza fretta porta via un paio di ore.
Diverso è incastrare gli spettacoli, della durata di circa 20/30 min ciascuno.
Pappagalli vengono effettuati tutti i giorni alle 10:25 – 11:50 – 13:30 – 15:00 – 16:00 – 17:30
Orche presso Orca Ocean si tengono tutti i giorni alle 11:45 – 14:00 – 16:45
Leoni marini, Sea Lions, tiene spettacoli ogni giorno alle 09:35 – 12:30 – 14:15 – 15:30 – 16:55
