Return from Airport
May 2021 • Solo
Took our hire car back to the Airport & Google Maps said 8 minutes till the 111 turns up & the screen said 8 minutes, & it turned up in 7. Whst More can you ask.

Small Kiosk selling cards at the South Airport with a lady helping people with information.
We use these buses in the South of the Island alot, with very few problems.
I top up my card online with no problems, €80 this year so far.
Most buses in the south are newish, less than 3 years old.
We saw a brand new All Electric bus in Los Cristianos this week
Don't believe all the bad reports!!!

Drivers and customer service not prepared to deal with tourists. Drivers will not let you travel if you don’t have the correct ticket even if you are in the middle of nowhere. Even if you try to pay in any other way. App is not intuitive and it is very hard to learn how the payment system works

Horrible non existent service
Feb 2021 • Solo
Buses don't arrive, you can wait for like 30-40 minutes and they still don't come... Also I had twice the experience that a bus that came just slipped the stop and myself (I was making signs like please stop) How can that be? Please rent a car, you would never go anywhere if you rely on the buses... Just horrible, this is not Spain, this is a 3rd world company. Also staff on the phone totally helpless....

Bespoke and Backward travel system
Dec 2020
Dreadful system in a tourist destination, doesn't accept Google pay, Apple pay or even cash/contactless. Hard to fathom out what anything costs and no machines to charge up. information desk in Icod has been closed for 4 days now.
Its no surprise most tourists use hire cars and the buses are ferrying fresh air around all the time. Serious improvements needed.

Unreliable website
Dec 2020 • Solo
Website is shocking. It implies you can buy a single ticket onboard which is just not the case. Unless you're starting your journey in a city or airport you're basically on your own. They should update their website.

Unreliable and overprized
Nov 2020
I was in Tenerife 1 week long and travelled around the island by bus with the 7-day ticket. This was a big mistake because the time tables of the busses are completely unreliable: you don't know when you start and you don't know when you willl arrive. During my 7 days there was no one bus that arrived in time. I had always to wait at least 30 mins for the connection. A waste of time.
The 7-day ticket is also completely overprized.
Use the busses only to go to the beach but ablsolutely don't use them to plan a hike!!
There's no one bus driver that speaks a little of english.

Works like clockwork
Nov 2020
Most of the large flights arrive at the south airport which is 1.5 hours away from my destination Puerto de la Cruz. This bus service is very efficient, extremely clean and Covid ready, works like clock work, and not at all expensive, You can even charge your phone in the bus. With Covid, Titsa buses no longer takes cash so dispensing machines will give you a card for 2e which you can tool up with cash, All buses come with luggage space compartment at the side of the bus.

Sunday Lunch Trip
Oct 2020 • Couples
With recommendations of a top Sunday Roast at the Pantry in Fanabe, we looked up the buses from Los Cristianos.

This route is well supported with various different lines passing through Fanabe.

This time the 471 was the nearest to our time requirements.

Short walk to Los Cristianos bus station & the 471 was waiting nice & early, & left spot on time, & we arrived in Fanabe with perfect timing for our lunch.

All the buses that we've used recently are punctual, clean & comfortable, & good value for money

Please Note, No Cash taken, only Bono Card, & it is Law to wear a mask at all times on board.

Annoying
Aug 2020 • Solo
There is one ticket machine at aeropuerto norte for all travellers. And you cannot buy your ticket anywhere else. Also you cannot find out how much your trip costs, because the machine doesn't tell you, and their website is broken. Then you have to pay for a plastic card that I'm going to use one time, and you cannot charge the exact fare, just multiples of 5€.
Also the machine is super slow and completelt counterintuitive. Had to wait an hour for the next bus because I missed mine.

Airport to Los Cristianos
Jul 2020 • Solo
After dropping off a car to Autoreisen at the Airport, I went to catch a bus.
There is a little Kiosk just outside the arrivals door, with a very nice young girlie with all the information on the current reduced bus times.
Also there is a machine to buy a Bono Card, as the buses do not take cash at the moment.
Only problem with the current reduced timetable is there's not so many buses running, but I was told 16.15 for my 111 bus to Los Cristianos, & that's the time it turned up, & about 15 minutes later I was in Los Cristianos.
Please Note-It is Law to wear a mask on board
