The best bus ride!
May 2021 • Couples
It’s true that on this island the bus drivers are pros, but this 3km are amazing! Punta de Teno is also “the other side” of Los Gigantes, so it’s a must see! Unfortunately the picture won’t do justice, there was still the calima in the air.

Breathtaking bus ride!
Feb 2020
We hiked into the park and down the gorge (about 3 hours) then took the local bus from the lighthouse at Punta Teno to Buenavista del Norte. The busdriver was amazing. The road an engineering marvel. A vertigo ride 50 cm away from the edges of 500 meter cliffs. Thank God the road is closed to private vehicles! This island has way too many cars!

Made it at last (on bus)
Jan 2020
Several previous aborted trips by car, varying reports on access always thwarted by the barrier and guard with chickens, and by boat cancelled due to high winds. However, there is now a regular €1 each way bus service from Buenavista making access easy. Spectacular bus ride along ledge cut into the cliffs, and through a tunnel. You could then walk on out to the point.

Great scenery with options for walks and boat trips
Feb 2020 • Couples
The lighthouse at the tip of Punta de Teno marks the furthest point. As others have commented, the road is closed to all vehicles other than taxis and the local bus after 10:00. The first day we visited we drove to the barrier and then walked for some 4km along the road which climbed high above the sea giving spectacular views. However, the next day we caught the 369 bus (hourly from Buenovisita) which took us directly to the lighthouse (around 6km from the road barrier) in under 20mins for just 1€. Once there, you can walk along the coastal path or get a 90min boat trip which includes snorkelling, a drink and a chance to see some dolphins; an exhilarating experience for €25.

Spectacular and not to be missed
Jan 2020 • Friends
The road to this headland is closed to ordinary traffic but taxis with permission and a specific tourist bus can enter the park. So can cyclists. The coastline is spectacular at this most westerly point of Tenerife. There is also a good view of Los Gigantes. The visit here was the outstanding memory of a day’s touring by taxi in the region. Not to be missed.

You can go there only with bus or taxi because the road is closed for cars. Also you can reach it by foot but distance is long ! Very recommend it ! Views are amazing and also you can swim in the ocean to see fishes and “chocko” which is a small calamari that you could eat in guachinche

The bus ride to Teno is an experience in itself. The road is wide enough basically for the bus. The views are exquisite with the combination of the cliffs, seaside town below, and mountains in the distance. Once at Punta De Teno, the view of the cliffs are again amazing.

Another beautiful coast in Tenerife
Dec 2019
You can go here only with bus or taxi between 10-19 o'clock. If you are nearby, and have a spare 1-2 hours then I would say it's a good program. It's not that special, there are other coasts too which are this nice. We were in Garachico, had 2 hours spare time before go home through Masca. So for us it was okay. But there is nothing there on the coast. So if the weather is not good to swim, than 1 hour (when the next bus comes to take you back) is more than enough there.
