Scenic walk along a well marked stony trail. Not difficult as such but quite hard work as around a third steady uphill climb. The steepest section is from Vilaflor and if hiking from the village allow 3.5 to 4 hours return. However there is a quicker and easier route from above the village and you can park on the roadside.... More

It's a nice scenic walk. The beginning of the trip walking from Vilaflor to the loop is quite steep, but not too difficult for an active person. There are some pretty amazing views on the way and the path through the pine forest is really enjoyable. The moonscape is lovely too, but it is a bit far for a good... More

Nice view of the lunar landscape, but just in a little part of the walk. On the hiest point you can see Gran Canaria if good sight ! If you have a car, go to the hiest poit possible to start. use the little stony-way. From Villaflor it is a steep walk up in the beginning ! So go further... More

This is a pleasant walk through the pine forest. You would need a great deal of imagination to feel as if you were on the moon as the name of the walk wrongly implies. Somewhat disappointing.

I can't understand the negative reviews about this walk! I did it last week, for the second time, hubby tagged along this time as he was equally impressed. Having said that we did do it with a guide, Tenerife Rambler aka Gary, so we didn't have any problems with directions. It's certainly not what I'd class as an easy walk,... More

Finding this was a nightmare. We followed trip advisor's directions yesterday and ended up in San Isidro... And today it wasn't much better. We struggled to find it, so stopped at a bar to ask how on earth to access it. We followed their directions through an awful road and parked by a sign saying 3.7k. I was expecting the... More

The hike is easy and landscapes around are very nice. The trail is well marked, but sometimes you need to look around well to find the correct mark. It's not so long hike, sometimes it's hard to call it "hike". There is only one thing that disappointed me - I expected a truly lunar landscape with huge yellow-rocks formations. Unfortunately,... We drove the stone dirt track for quite some km's before the sign pointed inwards on a track which no car could go with a sign saying Paisaje Lunar 2.4km. (Google Maps GPS points to completely the wrong spot by the way - way earlier than where it is so please ignore it!) The km tally on the sign was... More

I've seen a number of reviews saying this walk is easy IT's NOT!!!! so think very carefully before taking it on. We went as a group of 4 people, 2 were not walkers or ramblers and with stops and rests it took us 7 hours. I have done some hard walks and this walk was at least difficult. En route,... More

It is a nice hike. It took about 5 hours to get from the village and back. The terrain is not demanding. One doesn't require any special stamina or abilities to make it. If you deal with various local guides, do not listen to them, when they they tell you it is dangerous and recommend to accept their guiding services.... More
